Our story

Dudley and Cecilia (Ceci) Rauch met and fell in love while students at Harvard Business School.  Ceci was one of seven ground-breaking women admitted to the Business School’s inaugural class of women.  In addition to their careers, they started contributing to the non-profit sector early, both through volunteer roles and philanthropic gifts.  A few key venture capital investments translated into unexpected wealth, prompting the couple to found the Rauch Family Foundation in 1989.

Though our founders are no longer with us, the Foundation continues to promote charitable work and their deeply-held value to “pay it forward.”

We value trust, innovation, transparency, and programs that directly support underrepresented and under-resourced communities.
